3839 No. 309 of the 24th. of last September, I have the honour to

transit for your information the enclosed copy of a minute

of the Director of Public Works, dated the 3rd. instant, ex-

plaining the reasons which led to the passing of Ordinance

No. 28 of 1902, and pointing out the difficulty which would be

involved in preparing a plan shewing the approximate increase

to the area of the City of Victoria. The enclosed map will,

however, probably be sufficient to indicate generally the

increase.
